The end of the woodcarving workshops until Summer, and the Spring sessions have been as enjoyable and rewarding as previous courses.
A selection of carvings finished this week : David’s trout, Kay’s bear, and Jane’s tree-spirit.
As always it was nice to see the delighted participants put the finishing touches to their work ; the last few chisel marks are usually accompanied by a sense of relief but also a great sense of achievement ~ after all, they have created a unique and personal piece in a matter of hours, which is no mean feat.
These bluebells photographed by Nettie are just one example of the delights to be found at Mires Beck at this time of year.
