Withernsea Carnival

This was our fourth year at Withernsea, and this time the children tackled a carving of a crab ~ after previously working on a lighthouse, seagull and fish.

I had some pieces of hazel, given to us by a friend in Glastonbury, Somerset, and sawed one smaller piece down the length to make it stable on the bench for the children.

As usual at Withernsea, there was a constant flow of participants ~ so much so that I didn’t have much opportunity to get photos of everyone who contributed (sorry!); here are a couple though…
