Today saw the last session of the three-Saturday-long carving workshop at Mires Beck Nursery, North Cave; everyone went home tired but happy, and reflecting on the hard work that turned a plain log into a beautifully carved sculpture!

Of course, no visit to Mires Beck is complete without a stroll around the woodland walk ~ complete with fly agarics, looking like they’ve been lifted straight from a fairytale.
