A little bit of a twist on this panel: all the other carvings ~ as requested by Sewerby Hall~ have a small squirrel for the children to find (especially those from the under-5s “Sewerby Squirrels” group!); with this one featuring a squirrel as the main subject, it seemed silly to have a smaller version too.
The words this time were a quote from J. Muir : “In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” Bearing that in mind, instead of a hidden squirrel we have not one but a group of acorns.
If you want to see the acorns you’ll have to find them!
