The parish council at the village of Worlaby, north Lincolnshire, sadly had to take down a diseased beech tree in the public park; the stump was fashioned in to a simple seat and there was just enough room for me to carve an owl on the back rest.
Once again it was atrocious weather, but I was able to get under a gazebo and crack on.
There were a few scabby bits here and there, and I had to simplify the feet more than I wanted due to a patch of rot. I still think there’s some nice movement in the owl’s wings and it fits the back rest nicely.
