This must be one of the most beautiful places I’ve worked. Here are a few snaps just taken with my phone.
Also seen whilst I was carving the Douglas Fir, this strange critter :
A close examination shows him sticking his tail into a hole, injecting eggs left by a gypsy moth (I think that’s right, someone did tell me, and I even wrote it down, but I can’t find the piece of paper…). There were a couple of these things flitting around as I carved, and they got very annoyed when I started oiling the tree ~ unless they were under the influence of the fumes!
