A nice warm-up for the Beverley Festival, a chance to get back in the swing of packing, unpacking, packing and unpacking. As well as the indoor stall I had an outside pitch under a very swish English Heritage gazebo, where I had the log started at Barrow and Sewerby, ready for anyone to have a chip away at.
Between visits from apprentice carvers, I took the opportunity to start a wood-cut of a mermaid; the eventual aim is to have a series of prints of mythical beasts.
So yes, the next evening I managed to finish the block and pull a handful of prints, mount, sign and package them in time for Beverley Festival. Hurrah!
