A great weekend at Beverley Racecourse for the festival; on the whole the weather was good, the footfall was steady and the atmosphere pleasant. According to the organisers it was the best year yet for ticket sales, so a successful event all round.
Not as much entertainment outside as in previous years, a lot of the dance teams performed in Beverley town centre or the new East Riding Theatre, which was a shame for us as it draws people towards the craft area. We did see a few good sides:
Flag and Bone
Snark Rapper
Boggart’s Breakfast
Five Rivers Morris
So, Beverley Folk Festival 2016 is a full year away ~ do we start planning now, resulting in a stress-free lead up to the event, or leave it until the last minute and have a permanent panic attack for the fortnight prior to the festival? Well, why change a winning formula? Next May it is then!
