I spent an enjoyable day at Mires Beck Nursery, the usual venue for my carving courses, demonstrating and attempting to drum up interest for future courses. Unfortunately a combination of grizzly weather and a general Covid-induced nervousness meant that the event was much quieter than in the past, and where before I’d encouraged visitors to participate to get a taste of the activity, it was restricted to small demonstrations throughout the day. Still fun though, quite relaxing, and it meant I could give my posh new banners an airing.
The event was originally going to be over two days, but due to repeated cancellations because of the pandemic it was reduced to Saturday only ~ so my Green Man remained unfinished. I’ll maybe finish it next year!
