It will come as no surprise to anyone that these pages are usually filled with photographs taken on my £7.50-a-month mobile phone, which is invariably covered in sanding-dust, honing oil and (at the moment) cough-sweet wrappers. As such they aren’t exactly up there with your David Baileys and the rest.
It was therefore more than pleasant to be visited by a Bridlington photographer, Mr Mike Barnard, at Sewerby ~ a gentleman who knows what he is doing, and has a proper camera with a lens and everything ~ who asked if he could photograph me “in action” as it were. How could I refuse?
